    Dear IL’ites,

    Let me wish in advance for Tamil Puthandu, Baisakhi,
    Panaa Sankranti and Vishu.

    Why not celebrate the festive time by sharing virtually the traditional food that you make for this Regional New Year??

    If you haven’t decided on your festival menu yet, here are some perfect traditional recipes to get your started. These are contributed by our IL Members.

    Baisakhi recipe:

    1.Sandeesh – Bengali Sweet
    2. Coconut Ladoo
    3. Sooji Ka Halwa

    Tamil Puthandu Recipes:

    1. Paal Payasam
    2. Paruppu Vadai
    3. Mango Ginger Pachadi
    4. Puran Poli

    Vishu Recipes:

    1. Ada Pradhaman
    2. Parippu Pradhaman
    3. Avial
    4. Nei Appam

    If possible, please share individual pictures of the various food that you make for the New Year along with the recipe. We will get them featured in the Food Section.

    The Odia new year, also known as Panaa Sankranti or Mahavishuwa Sankranti falls around the same time. This year it is on 14th April. Can you plz mention it so that I can add the Odia delicacies that are prepared on this day.
