Learn how to make Sandesh, a traditional bengali sweet.

INGREDIENTS:
  • Paneer – 200 gms
  • Sugar – 200 gms
PREPARATION METHOD:
  1. Rose essence or cardamom powder, as per taste.
  2. Heat the mixture on stove top.
  3. When the mixture starts leaving the sides, remove.
  4. Keep the greased sandesh mould ready.
  5. Stir the mixture and when it starts solidifying, make small balls and press on the mould.
  6. Press each ball into a different mould to get the shape.
  7. They will set soon; then remove them.
  8. Cool and store.

NOTES AND TIPS:

  • If one does not have mould, they can be shaped like peda.
  • The weight of sugar has to be equal to the weight of paneer.
