Default Please read this before you post a new thread in this forum

I am using this post to reiterate my point, don't start new threads, without going through the old posts, please, after a point people who would have responded to a certain thread lose interest in answering, though they would like to because of the repetition.

I see number of threads in this forum, asking the same question, when you have posted the same question in an existing thread too...

Agreed, this is pre admission confusion and jitters, but that does not mean you should just start a thread before going through the previous threads.

Those who write a reply, are doing this as a they are helpful and would have also crossed the same stage, but that does not mean you can take advantage of the same...

there are so many new threads for school admission, lkg admission, asking the same questions again and again...why don't we contain ourselves to a single thread, which will be easy on the moderators, who are forced, to merge threads, remove duplicates.

May be my post looks harsh, and many of you may say, what does she know about the tensions of trying for admissions, choosing schools, believe me ladies, i have gone through all these.

So would request you to go through
School Hunting?????????
Schools in chennai
What do the kids learn in LKG,UKG and 1st standard in schools
Schools- What are you looking for in an International or Indian School for your Child
How do/did you choose schools for your children?
Right age to put a child in school
Age criteria for admission to LKG in Chennai Schools

dear friends, hope you understand the message conveyed and help us to help you during this transition better

Yes shanthi dear, you are right, i too second you, even i sometimes do it ( like starting new thread for the same topic without being aware of existing thread , but mainly it will be WISHING thread , hehehe not any other one)

And, reg, schools, its really really better to go through the existing threads to get necessary informations , since all of us have given our level best to these topics , even i sometimes dont feel like replying to same question reg. WHERE TO GET SAREEES, CHUDIHARS ETC IN CHENNAI ... SORRY FRIENDS DONT MISTAKE ME FOR SAYING SO , since we have so mmany threads where we have discussed the same topic and you can get information from those threads and many of us may feel in the same way like me and started of the thread may not get necessary informations and at times they may feel dejected that nobody has replied , so to avoid this confusion please go through the existing thread

Friends, if any of you feel that " iam wrong " and have hurt you , IAM REALLY REALY SORRY pls FORGIVE ME

Dear Shanthi and Latha
I fully accept yr views, but nowadays more members, more forums, more letters and many things got 'lost', this happened to me also. I was not able to find my post (to Chitra Mam). So new members will definitely struggle to find and at last they start a new thread. Have to do something for this.
Regards
Uma

umadear,

Thanks for patiently reading through this. I don't say new members will not find it difficult. what i would say is use the search link, type the words as you would for google, and check either thread wise or to be more accurate post wise...using the search tool effectively, leads you to read about the same topic before starting a new thread.

Sometimes technical faults do appear. I check twice using the search tool before saying this for any topic.

Shanvy, I have a suggestion, I felt it would be nice if you can make this thread sticky, so that this thread is not lost in the new threads and would always remind new comers about going through the existing threads. So that anybody coming newly to this forum will see this thread first and use the links you have stated in your post.

my 2 cents

Sri

Dear Shanthi and Uma,

You all absolutely right. Even sometimes I also will stat
a new thread without knowing the earlier thread. I am
extremely sorry for it. I think this is the right time for
Shanthi to do something at this juncture as pointed out
by ursnegithi. Please guide us accordingly.
