Sir stood from his place… came near to us… and gave a tight slap on my cheeks.
I went speechless. Glimpse of tears arose on my eyes!!!

He asked “How dare you can cheat me.????”

Me: ……….????????!!!!!!!!!!???????

“Sir….. I didn’t do anything….!!!!” I said.

He slapped me again.
“Sir… he telling na….that he didn’t do anything.. Then why are you slapping him again and again Sir?” Kumar jumped from his place.
After a nano second.

“Ooooooooooooooppppppppppppppppssssssssssss” Kumar kept his hand on his cheeks.

“Raising your voice against me ???? Hmmm??? Sir roared in anger.

“No sir….. No……………… I told it because if you slap him again and again, your palm would become painful… Then you couldn’t hold chalk-piece in your hand and write anything on the board… so that class would get affected. Then students couldn’t get more marks in exams, even I may get fail. So overall class result would face a downfall. If so, then management would question you about that and if you don’t give proper reason, they would suspend you.. Who knows? They may even dismiss you… Since you are a weak hearted BP patient then your blood pressure would shoot up high and end up in heart attack and you may die instantly!!!!!!!!!

I don’t want to lose a legend like you sir…… !!!! That’s why I said so!!!!Now tell me sir.. am I wrong???? “ He finished it casually and kept his face child-like.
Ganesan sir swung his hand in a rocket speed across my face and his palm reached the designed destination!!!!

I felt a wind flow when his hand crossed my face and heard a heavy blow nearby… which sounded like a small explosion.
I rotated my eyes sideways…. Kumar was lying down on the floor by keeping his hand again on cheeks!!!

“You guys have became that much grown-up huh??? Put kneel down… Let me see how you guys writing today’s test!!!” Ganesan Sir shouted.
We knelt down!!!
I looked at Kumar.

He whispered into my ears “ Don’t worry.. That guy is a piles patient.. That’s why shouting like this..!!!”

“What discussion da???? Huh???” he was beating Kumar on his back consecutively!!!

No reaction from Kumar.
Sir became tired and went to his place to drink some water.

“Narrow-minded people!” Kumar whispered.

“Now what we did??? We stayed back late in the evening and wrote the exam… Technically speaking did OT… But instead of appreciating us for our hard work.. That stupid scolding us!!!!” he whispered again.

“OT????? Hard work??? What you blabbering???” I asked.

“Oh….. No…. you village guy….. Over time buddy… That government office people do na????

And we acted hard like writing exam in the morning and wrote it again for real in the evening.. That’s an absolute hard work only???” he said.

I just stared at him. He became quiet then.

“Ok… tell me how did you write the test!!!” Sir asked after his refreshment.
“Sir.. We didn’t do any malpractice.. We wrote the test morally!!!” I said in firm voice.

“I won’t ask again.. Tell the truth…!!!” Sir warned us.

“I am telling the truth only sir.. If you want you can ask questions to me!!” I said.

Kumar got shocked.. Because he never know anything from Physics.

“Is it….??? Fine… then tell about Newton’s laws with an example for each?” he asked.

To his surprise I answered that question in one shot.

Kumar blinked at me blankly.

He then asked Faraday’s law… I answered for that too.

He then turned towards Kumar.

“State Archimedes Principle” Sir asked him.

“Sir…….???” Kumar swallowed the lump in his throat.

“Archimedes principle” he bolded his voice this time.

Next second kumar got fainted and fell down on the floor!!!

After five minutes.

Kumar opened his eyes and by that time we were in our class.

“Where are we da???”Kumar asked me.

“In our classroom” I said.

“What???????? I thought you guys would have taken me to hospital…… hmmm… I am totally disappointed Mister Karthick…. I am not safe here!!!” he said.

“Shut up… You too don’t raise my temper!!!” I turned red.

“Chilax da… How Ganesh left us???” he asked.

“I answered…. You fainted….. Then what else he could do??” I said in a rigid tone.

“If I didn’t act like fainted then now I would be kneeling down outside principal’s room dude.

“Hmmm” I acknowledged.

Why he was asking about Archimedes principal unnecessarily… How come I know about other school principal???If he had asked about our school principal then I would have answered.. Senseless goose!!!

But how come you had answered his questions da… ??? He asked me.

“I studied the test portion last night!!!” I said.

“You black sheep.. Then why you put kneel down???” he asked.

“I felt guilty..I thought I had cheated. So just as a punishment I did so!” I replied.

“Well done Honest Raj… I am feeling very proud about you my boy” he said.

I didn’t reply.

Test commenced.

I wrote as fast as I could and submitted the paper at first in the class…
I did extremely well that day.I looked at Pooja. I told to myself “why the hell she did that to me???”I felt hatred on her.I felt like killing her.
didn’t speak to her that day.Even she didn’t bother about that.

Evening 4.30 P.M.

Everyone left the class.Pooja was about to leave.I and Kumar were sitting on the desk.Before leaving she turned towards me, fixed her eyes on me and gave me a dirty look.

That’s it.I lost my temper.She went near the door.

“Hey!” I called her.

She stopped and turned back.

I went near to her.

“Are you happy now????” I asked.

“What are you talking about?” she asked.

“Enough…. That’s the limit… Stop acting now!!!” I said.

“I really don’t understand” she said.

What the hell are you thinking about yourself?? Huh??? If you are so studious and a first rank holder then you should keep that with you… Shouldn’t try to play such cheap games on others!!!” I shouted at her.

“Please Mind your words Karthick!” she said.

“Shut your mouth you ……..!! You mind your behavior first. Smelling others activities is your part time job huh???” I uttered harsh words.

“Please Karthick… Don’t talk like this!!!” her voice started melting

But I couldn’t bear what she had done.
“What kind of a girl you are???? I am feeling ashamed of your friendship. I hate you Pooja!!!”
I told and walked back to my place without waiting for her reply.
There was a complete silence.

I was arranging notes in my bag.I felt uneasy.. I thought I had over-reacted.I turned back.Pooja was still standing there with tears rolling down her cheeks.
That’s it….. I lost all my anger… I was scattered by seeing her tears dropping down on the floor one by one.

I went near to her.
She was crying with her head down!!!

“SORRY” I said.

No reply from her.

“Hey I didn’t mean what I said… I am sorry Pooja” I apologized again.
She raised her head and looked into my eyes for a second and left the class like a flash.

I was dead by that look.

She killed me completely with her silence.

I felt some changes inside me. I felt something new for her.

I stood there still without a movement and that moment changed my life…………………….!!!!!!!
