Dear Krish,

Very happy to know that you cook your own food in absense of mom.

Hi Poonam Aunty and Aruna Aunty,

Thanks for your FB. For the past 4 years, I am cooking like this in the absence of my mom. This gives me good relaxation from my routine.

Thumbs down Some more tips

Hi all,

I am giving some more tips here. On a lazy week end morning, I wake up late. Feeling hungry try make something fast. Following are some of them.

1. If you have Bread, take 2 slices of bread apply 'Puli Paste', and eat. If you want you can toast the bread.

2. Make a quick & delicious soup, take one packet of 'Maggi Masala' ( to prepare maggi, I will use my own masala, and I will always keep these masala packets to make some other dishes). In a coffee mug put maggi masala, 1 sp tomato paste and pour 200 ml water. MW for 2 min. Your soup and toast is ready to eat.

Cool Some more tips !

1. To make 'poricha kootu' you use 'kootu podi' generally. Instead of that if you use 'dosa milagai podi' especially containing 'til', will give a different taste with good aroma.
No need to add coconut also.

2. Just fry bell pepper and onion with agino moto and salt, in small quantity of oil. Use this as side dish for chappati or mix with cooked rice or with cooked noodles. You can stuff this in bread also.

Thumbs down some more tips.........

1. Pour 2 sp oil in a pan. Crush 1 packet of maggi and fry. Remove and put it on a paper towel. Put the fried maggi in a container and add salt, asafetida and red chilly powder.Shake well by putting the lid. Enjoy the 'Maggi Sev' You can add garam masala also.

2. Instead of 'Rasam Powder', you can use maggi masala and 1 sp crushed black pepper and cumin seeds to make Rasam. If you dont have time to cook the thur dal for rasam replace it with 1 sp of 'parrapu podi'
