Desichick's weight loss Journey!

    Hi All!

    I am in my early 30's and I have been dilly dallying with weight loss from a very long time. But, I have never been serious enough to commit myself to it. The reasons are many ranging from being lazy to having a don't care attitude to a deep rooted fear that I may never be slim again. I had this lax attitude when it came to weight loss.

    After the birth of my twins, I have let myself go and have never really cared about myself. But something came up recently which made me take a second look at myself and my flabbiness. And now, I want to be serious in this thing and show a few people that I can do it and I haven't lost my touch.

    I also have other reasons for my weight loss. I want to look good for myself. Be confident. Wear really nice clothes. Have a good marital life. Have a good beauty care regime. Have great looking hair. I want to be confident on all levels when I rejoin work sometime in the future, or not.

    I figure I have another 10 years to looking good and pamper myself. After that, who knows? So I have decided to take an extra step towards making this happen.

    1. Hair care regime
    2. Beauty care regime
    3. Good balanced diet not exceeding 1200 calories a day.
    4. Drinking a minimum of 2 liters water a day.
    5. Having a fruit a day.
    6. Having a glass of milk a day.
    7. Minimizing junk food.
    8. No rice for dinner.
    9. Reducing or stopping consumption of soft drinks.
    10. Exercise 5 times a day for a minimum of 20 minutes to start with.

    These are the rules I am going to set for myself. These are not hard and fast per se and the rules can be modified with time.

    My weight as of today: 67 kg
    My weight loss goal: 60 kg

    I have 8 months to reach my goal and then some.

    I would want to put a serious effort this time around to make it happen. I will use this thread as my personal blog and keep updating when I can.

    Down with mild Typhoid fever..so not following most of the points today. Trying to keep myself hydrated for the time being. Feeling all weak..faintingsmiley

    Today on a whim, I weighed myself. I am 68.7 kgs as of today..I am not sure how did I put on 1.7 kgs in two days. Not sure if my weighing scale is faulty or my eating habits..ha ha!

    Exercise was not so great as I am down with fever. My legs buckled under me and I couldn't keep up so much with the workout. But, I am happy that I have started the regime.

    Typhoid is slowly wearing off. I hope to come back on track from next week. Not very diligent past few days. Started off the day with oiling my hair. Planning to put methi paste to contain dandruff today. This will go towards hair care regime for the day.

    Feeling better today but with bouts of tiredness. I will have to restart my exercise from Monday.

    Today is weighing day and I am at 67.4 kgs. I am happy that am going in the right direction though not yet started consistent exercising.
