    I'm pregnant too & am due last week of Oct'11. So I consider myself qualified to join this discussion ;-)
    Am planning to consult Dr.Thulasi Mala... got her reference through a friend.
    I see from the discussion that you are also consulting with her.
    Just wanted to have your feedback... howz the doc ? Where have you planned the delivery... in CMH ?
    Any idea about the facilities there / nurses etc ?

    I stay near New Thippasandra & would prefer CMH too.
    I had my first baby thru c-section. So just worried a bit this time around...

    Dear Sowmya, thank you very much and wish you the very same! :) Would be great to have you around in this thread..

    Dr. Thulasi is a good choice..I was consulting two doctors just for that extra reassurance..Dr. Thulasi and Dr. Praveena Shenoy who consults in Manipal but has a clinic of her own. Thulasi comes with lot of experience...but you have to pinch her now and then to get her to talk..:) But she is one gem of a lady and is extremely knowledgeable in her area..Not sure if you know, she served as the HOD for the OBG dept in CMH some years back..Dr. Praveena on the other hand is a vibrant soul.She has a track record of delivering complex cases vaginally...So both the doctors are good..I am not sure if CMH would be a good choice for delivery though. Cradle is the best from what I have heard..St. John's and Philomena's are also very popular for naturally delivering babies..If you could get Dr. Praveena deliver for you, nothing like it..But you have to make sure she does the delivery, because I haven't heard good things about the other doctors in Manipal..So to answer your question, my choice of a hospital to deliver would be Manipal if Dr. Shenoy agrees to deliver, followed by Cradle,St. John's and St. Philomena's in that order. Would suggest you to make a choice based on the skill and availability of the doc and not the distance. You can continue consulting docs close-by your home, but for delivery try getting the best hospital..Good luck!
    BTW I am no longer in Bangalore..I moved to the United States about a month back...but I keep visiting this thread every now and then..Do let me know if you need anymore inputs..Would love to be of help..Take care! :)

    I am new on indusladies. Thanks for this wonderful thread.
    My EDD is May 10, 2012.
    I am consulting Dr Leela Bhagwan in cloudnine, Jayanagar.
    Wanted your inputs about her. One problem which I am facing is that
    she doesn't pick up her calls. & I am scared what if on the final day she isnt
    there.
    Its our first baby. So some of my questions might sound stupid to you.

    I am also an expecting mom from Bangalore..Due date is May 15, 2012...would be great to keep in touch:)

    I had my first appointment yesterday with Dr. Gayathri Karthik. Amazing lady:). Had my first Ultrasound yesterday as well...Listened to my baby's heart beat...Truly amazing experience....

    congrats on your pregnancy.. My frnd consulted leela bhagvan and she has a good mpression on her.. even if she doesnt pick up your call on the D-day, the hospital staff will keep her informed and she will be there on time.. this is out of my exp :) i also delivered at CloudNine :)

    Hi Ladies,

    I am very new to this Indus Ladies and I found it very informative site.
    My EDD end March 2012 (29th or 30th March). Currently I am consulting with Dr. Sobha Venkat at Manipal, however I found the services at Manipal is not that good and I also heard that their charges are too much.

    I do not have any Insurance and also would like to prefer normal delivery. I am staying in CV Raman Nagar, please suggest good gynic, who is experienced in normal delivery.
