One more set of Munnar photos. I & my DH walked uphill & reached the College of Engineering, Munnar. These snaps are taken through mobile phone camera. So the quality may be poor.
The college is at hill top & the greenary you are seeing is Tea Gardens.

Now is the time to share some interesting photos with YOU all.
Last weekend I've been to my native place, near Thanjavur.

We along with our family members visited the Point Calimere(Kodiakkarai in Tamizh) Wildlife Sanctuary.

In India Map near Nagappattinam you could see the land turn forming a tip(cape) that point is the place called Kodiakkarai.

It is a marine - coastal wetland with a wide diversity of habitats and ecological features, including: intertidal salt marshes, forested wetlands, mangroves and brackish to saline lagoons.

This place become famous because of PONNIYIN SELVAN, a great historical novel written by Kalki Krishnamoorthy.
He has extensively written about these evergreen forests, quicksands, marshlands,small rivelets running across these marsh lands etc.,...
& also the light house built by the Great Chola Kings,.... & Poonguzhali, a character who knows this marsh land very well & Poonguzhali's father is the caretaker of this light house!!!.....

So I'm uploading some of the photos taken there.
