Dear IL'ites,

The team at Indusladies has been working on something pretty cool over the past few months. I can't wait to tell you about it.

We are going to significantly redesign and update our community.

In 2005, Indusladies was started with one simple idea. To be a friendly place to have a helpful conversation. From there, Indusladies has evolved into a vibrant community that supports all aspects of an Indian women’s life.

To satisfy the large membership's diverse needs, we have decided to do a significant redesign of Indusladies. We are bringing a host of new things that will make the site more useful, easy and enjoyable to all of you.

I want to share all that is planned for YOU. Come be a part of the all new Indusladies, your same old friend in an all new look.

First time ever, I am telling the story of Indusladies – the early days, the path we have come and the generosity of everyone in helping it grow. I believe that knowing the story of the site will want people to belong here.

Now for the big changes. We are going to neatly organize the site into 8 key categories - Beauty, Health, Parenting, Relationships, Entertainment, Food, Culture and lifestyle. These were the topic categories of most interest to IL'ites. In the next updates, I will share more information on this.

We are also getting a nice visual image for the site. A group of Indian women that visually represent the women community we are. New visitors to the site will instantly understand what the site is about.

Each of the above 8 topics will have its own category page. In these category pages, we will pull-in the most interesting discussions, articles and groups together, in a single place. The best content of the site will be easily accessible without you having to hunt it down. This will offer us enormous opportunity to highlight all your best contributions!

We realized that help information was neither available in a single place nor was it presented in a logical way. That made it hard for members to learn how to do things in Indusladies. We are making a giant improvement in that.

As part of the redesign, we are building a comprehensive community guide. It is the go-to place for anyone who wants to know how to do things in the community. You will find it easy and extremely useful.

Because of the friendly and helpful nature of our community, many members wanted to help build our community, but didn’t know how. Now, we have organized all the opportunities to get involved in one place. We have added lots of very interesting and specific ways you can contribute the community. You will definitely find something that interests you!
