Herisseh - a dessert Hi latha, S, U can have some of it. Here goes the recipe for HERISSEH". Note: Use the same cup for all the measurements. Ingredients: Sooji/rava - 3 cups Thick curd - 2 cups Oil - 1/2 cup Butter - 1/2 cup Sugar - 3/4 cup Maida - 3 tbsp Baking powder - 1 tsp Baking soda - 1 tsp Almonds - few For sugar syrup: sugar - 3 cup water - 1 1/2 cups Lemon juice - 2 tsp Prepare sugar syrup when you were baking the rava and let it cool. Mix all well until sugar blends well with all. Pour in a greased tin and make cuts. For each squares, you can place almonds on top. Bake it at 180 deg C for 30-40 min and until golden brown. Remove from the oven when it is golden brown in the top and pour sugar syrup as soon as you remove fom the oven. Rest it for 1 - 2 hrs. Cut and then serve.
