for Mint Gobi : First I will grind mint , coriander leaves, ginger, green chillies, garlic together and will apply on gobies. Will let it soak in the paste for 2 hrs. then will deep fry in oil. Try it and let me know

Herisseh - a dessert

Hi latha,
S, U can have some of it.

Here goes the recipe for HERISSEH".
Note: Use the same cup for all the measurements.

Ingredients:

Sooji/rava - 3 cups
Thick curd - 2 cups
Oil - 1/2 cup
Butter - 1/2 cup
Sugar - 3/4 cup
Maida - 3 tbsp
Baking powder - 1 tsp
Baking soda - 1 tsp
Almonds - few

For sugar syrup:
sugar - 3 cup
water - 1 1/2 cups
Lemon juice - 2 tsp

Prepare sugar syrup when you were baking the rava and let it cool.


Mix all well until sugar blends well with all.
Pour in a greased tin and make cuts. For each squares, you can place almonds on top.
Bake it at 180 deg C for 30-40 min and until golden brown.
Remove from the oven when it is golden brown in the top and pour sugar syrup as soon as you remove fom the oven.
Rest it for 1 - 2 hrs.

Cut and then serve.

thanks for the compliments. Who doesn't like chocolate and black forest? My son ate half of it by himself!

If the cake was before me, i would have finished the entire piece!! :crazy:rotflofcourse not alone but sharing with my DH who also loves black forest. (I also will get company to work out to burn all those extra calories ) Great! that your son left some yummy cake for you all to taste.
