• Tell us your weaknesses and strengths. This is a very tricky question. For strengths, do not commit more than you can chew. For weaknesses, do not mention any personal faults and stick to some instances where something positive is evident. For e.g.: I learnt that there is more than one solution to every situation, and not to give up too soon.
  • What are the projects you are proud of and why.
  • What do you know about our organisation? Why do you think you will fit here?
  • Ask any questions that you might have. This is an important opening for you in the interview. Try to always ask questions, it gives you more clarity and also makes an impression that you are grasping the situation.

Some Questions And Situations We Women Are Very Likely To Face:

  • You are looking for a part time option and are agreeing to work for a lesser salary, how come? Be prepared to face scepticism but stick to your stand.
  • You are soon to be married / are a young mother or to be mother. Firmly handle the questions and scepticism on how you will manage work and home.
  • You are single and might leave the job, for one or the other reason, once you get hitched. Emphasise that you do not know what the future holds but you will find the best solution. An opportunity cannot be taken away from you due to your marital status.

You Should Be Honest About:

  • You are about to be married and will need time off.
  • You are pregnant and will need maternity leave and when. It can be very inconvenient for your employer to give you 3 to 6 months off when you have just joined.
  • Your situation at home is not conducive to late hours at work or travel.
  • Check on the frequency of any travel. Save yourself and them heartburn by making your stance clear on travel you are comfortable with.

General Pointers:

  • If you do not know something, admit so instead of beating around the bush. Say that you can always learn once you start working.
  • Go through the website of the company before meeting them.
  • Do not exaggerate or tell lies in your resume. You will only get into trouble once you start working.
  • Have names of 2 or 3 people for a reference check.

Wish you all the best.
