What are your future entrepreneurial plans?

Well we have just ventured into education, travel and software solutions. I hope to launch the travel website soon. It will offer a plethora of travel options, and advice and will be structured much differently, than the usual run of the mill travel site out there. I am focusing on making all my websites as successful as my previous ventures.

I would like to share some advice here. When a woman is thinking of eventually starting multiple businesses, it is important to begin with one business, focus on earning returns through that, and eventually use the returns to incorporate and initiate another venture. I had my plans laid out for a long time, so I knew that after Clarus Media took off, I would venture into other interesting things, all online.

Women in India have come a long way in their careers. What advice would you give women who are still trying to make a mark in their respective fields?

I feel a lot of women aren’t getting out of their comfort zone. They feel they wouldn’t be able to manage all of their responsibilities; and this is why they often shy away from better job offers, or business growth. I feel quite the contrary, and believe there is a solution to every problem in the way of a woman entrepreneur.

If you are an entrepreneur, in today’s time gender doesn’t matter. Furthermore, there is a lot you can do from within your home itself, by making use of web based marketing tools. Be it designing, or writing, or even selling recipes, it is quite easy to build your own website, or webpage, and market it into a successful venture. The beauty of the internet is that everything is possible.

Do you believe that there is any field a woman cannot venture into as a professional?

I don’t believe in that. If you want to begin your own software firm or open a share broking firm, everything is possible. All you really need is a high degree of knowledge in your chosen field and a great internet connection.

Mudita, the Indusladies team wishes you all the very best in all your future endeavours.
