Walking

Not only is walking recommended by doctors for pregnant women, it is considered the best exercise during pregnancy. Brisk walking is generally avoided; however, walking at a medium pace will help loosen joints and muscles in the body and help keep the body flexible.  You should try and walk for 20 minutes at a stretch during pregnancy, and take short breaks if required. The fresh air is sure to do you good.

Pregnancy exercises are a good way to ensure a smooth delivery. However, your doctor will be better able to guide you to a routine that is best suited for your kind of pregnancy. Pregnancy is a delicate period and you should listen to your body. Remember, resting is equally important as working out, and you shouldn’t push yourself too hard while exercising.
