Now that you have finished being 32 weeks pregnant and are moving closer to your due date, your doctor might want to see you more regularly. More so if you have been having any pregnancy complications or if you have had a high risk pregnancy.

Changes in Your Body at Week 33

Your waistline is growing and your belly, by now, will look like a football. But please continue to bask in the glory or motherhood and love your body. At this stage you are probably gaining a pound every week. But most of it is going to your baby and to the placenta.

Your Baby’s Development at Week 33

33 and then 34 weeks of pregnancy means that your baby’s bones begin to harden at this stage – except the skull. The skull remains soft and flexible because it needs to travel through the birthing canal.

From this period onward the baby develops periods of deep and active sleep. It is the periods of active sleep when his or her brains undergo stimulation and helps it to mature more.

Week 33 Tips and Advice

Insomnia is a fairly common thing at this stage of a woman’s pregnancy. The excitement and the aches might keep you from sleeping for long hours. But do lie down and relax whenever you can.

For feet pain, do not stand for long stretches. And also soak them in warm water to ease the discomfort.

If your baby is not in the head down position as yet then some yoga exercises help. However do take your doctor’s advice before you begin any such exercise.

Don’t lay on your back when lying down. Not only will this reduce the blood circulation to the baby. But it will also make you feel light headed. This is because when you lay on your back the uterus compresses your Inferior Vena Cava – a blood vessel. Due to this lesser blood returns to your heart and from there to the brains and to the other organs.

The numbness of your limbs can be overcome with suitable exercise. Speak to your doctor to find out what form of exercise is the best for you.

Week 33 Fun

Are you really still in the mood for some sex? Believe me, many are. If you are one of them, then find newer and easier ways of doing it. And do seek your doctor’s permission.

Get creative and spend your time in designing different birth announcement cards.

Friends or work colleagues could introduce you to a field of study that captures your interest. You’re ready for something new in your life, and the lecture series that has been suggested to you could turn out to provide just the stimulation that you need. Your creative juices are flowing and you’ll want to make good use of them. Writing, painting, and photography are all good choices for today.

Today, you need to be a go-getter. Keep talking to sell your ideas. The need for the day is to make practical plans and be realistic rather than emotional. Persevere if you really want to achieve your goals and you will definitely see results. All the same, make adjustments in your work schedule to include more playtime with friends. Balance is good!

In life there are four sides that need balance – physical, emotional, mental, and spiritual. Take time today to consider if you’ve neglected any of these areas. Simply being aware can make improvements possible. The flow of love that is your true heart’s home mustn’t be avoided or denied.

Overindulgence the previous night may leave you feeling a little out of sorts. It’s advisable to spend the day in bed and get some much needed rest. Don’t force yourself to socialize, either. You need some time alone to recover and gather your resources so you can face the world with a clear head.

Your emotions will feel stable today although there may be an unexpected element trying to sneak into the equation. Be aware that people will be a bit more volatile today. Although the situation may be calm and cool one minute, it has the potential to be explosive the next. Try to stay centered all day so you don’t get thrown off course by other people’s erratic emotions.

OK, up and at ‘em! You might feel like you’re walking through sand today, but you really need to shake your booty and get the blood flowing. If you don’t get up and do something, you’ll be a slug all day. You need to clear your head and cast off that bloated feeling. Most importantly, you want to get a good start to the day so you can accomplish everything that awaits you.

There is some probability that you’ll want to escape from reality today. You aren’t anxious to face a situation that demands that you commit yourself. Is this because you’re afraid that you lack the ability to assume this new responsibility? This is an honest-to-goodness chance to fulfill your dreams of success. There can be no question of evading it! Get busy!

Let your emotions play with your imagination today, and feel free to discuss your findings openly with others. Don’t get caught up in so rational a frame of mind that you refuse to acknowledge any other way of viewing a current situation. Put away your analytical side in order to disclose a more abstract, intuitive perspective. Exercise that part of your brain that doesn’t normally get used.

You should try to feel at ease today. Remember that inner peace is a big part of your health. This can be achieved through reflection and a quiet review of where you are in life. Try not to focus too much on material things. Instead, concentrate more on your emotional state. Others are likely to feel more sensitive and weepy as well, so have them join you in this exercise.
