Beware of Pressure Builders

‘You haven’t finished with your maths portion yet?!’ ‘This time the paper’s going be really tough!’ As your exams begin looming, you’ll have many people going on about how tough exams are or how you are far behind. Constant discouragements like these build unnecessary worry. It’s simply better to steer clear of them and avoid the unnecessary tension.

Combined Studies

You need a friend who is serious about studying to make this work. Studying alone can get a little tedious sometimes which is why if you have a friend or a couple of friends who follow almost the same study pattern as yours, you can study together. It takes the load off a little and makes studying a lot easier and fun, provided you all utilise the time together and not while it away in chit-chat.

Physical Activities and Yoga

Doing any kind of physical exercise or practicing yoga techniques like deep breathing can help calm you down and prevent anxiety during exam time. Since yoga and physical activities like cycling, swimming, exercising, etc required concentrated effort, they will help you relax and refresh you. So keep a half hour between your study hours to take that one round of the park on your cycle and fight the exam strain.

Remember, a stressed out mind will forget even the easiest things. While a little pressure is motivating, do not succumb to worry over exams since it will only do damage. Being calm is as important as studying since a relaxed mind will retain things much better than a fretful one.
