This is fourth part of the series “Ways to save Money”. For more interesting tips to save money on everyday expenses, checkout Part 1, Part 2 and Part 3.

Here are more ways to save in your daily lives:

1. Money Saving Apps:

Nowadays with smart phones ruling our lives, there are tons of money saving apps which will keep you on your toes.

I am located in US and have a few on my phone. But most oftenly used are Gas buddy, Checkout 51 (Disclaimer: I am in no way sponsored by any of these apps!).

You can use gas buddy to find lowest price for gas in your area. And you can earn points/ cash by uploading the grocery bills using Checkout 51.

I’m confident that you will find similar apps specific to your country and area. Try searching some on google and download them on your phone.

2. Take your Coffee or Tea from Home:

I drink 2 cups or coffee or tea every day. One in morning and one in evening. I make sure that I make my coffee to avoid the temptation to buy Starbucks or other coffee shop for $2-3.

Can you imagine how much it cost if I buy coffee at Starbucks every day for a year $1095!!

Do you buy tea or coffee from a shop while travelling or when at work? Do you math and compare how much you can save per year.

3. Fun Money:

I know it might sound counter intuitive but it works so well for me! Sometimes I keep thinking about sales, savings etc. so much that I feel I am not enjoying shopping and feel suffocated.

So I include some fun money in my budget. And I am allowed to do anything I want with it. Some months I have not used it at all so that I can accumulate it to spend on something big.
