Foods High in Water Content

Go low on such foods, which will cut down the level of acne significantly. Instead, go high on foods that are rich in antioxidants that will increase the blood flow to the skin. Less Carbs but High Protein
A study shows participants having foods that have high glycemic index are more prone to get acne. Excess sugar in blood glucose levels led to increase in the production of androgen a hormone related with acne. It is seen that a diet that has low GI value and high protein led to great reduction in acne. Therefore, reduce intake of white rice, millet, potatoes, white bread, litchi, beans, carrots and other processed foods. Lean meat, dairy products, pulses, peanuts and lentils are some foods that are high in protein. It is wise to keep both carbohydrates and protein in moderation to obtain best results.
