Quit these Habits

Alcohol and smoking is a strict no-no. Smoking is strongly associated with chances of miscarriage. Even passive smoking is harmful. Hence, if either of you two smoke, it is time to stop. Alcohol, on the other hand, is harmful in excess quantities. An occasional glass of wine does not affect fertility. Once you are pregnant, of course, any form of alcohol must be kept away. Caffeine is also said to affect fertility. Less than 200 milligram of coffee per day is considered okay.

Exercise

Exercising is more effective for fertility than low calorie diet. Do not overdo exercises. 30 minutes of exercise 3 days a week is good. Follow a consistent schedule that can sustain for a long time. This combined with a good, healthy diet will go long way in keeping your reproductive system active and healthy.

Take help from Apps

In this age of technology, mobile medical apps are gaining popularity and usage. With these apps, you have all information at hand. One such significant app is Glow by Apple (available free on iPhones). This app collects information from the woman trying to get pregnant (it also incorporates a ‘His’ section to involve the male in the process). It collects information like menstrual cycle, emotional mood, physical health, etc and empowers the user with information and help. Other apps available for this purpose are My Mobile Fertility and Fertility Friend Mobile, to name a few.

The above tips are useful for not only fertility but also for general physical and mental health. Make these a part of your routine and see the difference. In case issues still remain, it is best to consult a doctor.
