Stay Organized:

You can avoid stress by making a list of things to do for the occasion.  A number of tasks can overwhelm and cause unnecessary anxiety.

Plan to shop when there is less crowd during the month to beat long, frustrated billing queues. Involve everybody at home and delegate tasks to family members. Encourage people to take part even in the smallest of tasks so that you don’t have to bear the burden.

And, do ask for help if you need it. The whole event will be a disaster if you bottle up your feelings and pour it out on the day of the occasion.

Have Time for Yourself:

Festive season is the time for being busy. That does not mean you ignore sleep, food and exercise. You do not have to accept invites to all social events.  A worn out body and mind is a wrong recipe during a festivity.

Prioritize getting enough rest and food, which will help you to manage stress in a better way.

Be Sensible:

Check if the expectation of the festive period is practical and realistic. Accept that fact that you cannot please everyone. This is a myth and conflicts do occur.

Plan how you can manage such situations rather than beating yourself for not being a perfectionist.
