confused

hello friends i am in utter confusion
i just joined into job as a secretary which is quite new job for me
and my boss helped me a lot in getting to know the job
he just said me to consider me as a brother as i am quite uncomfortable to mingle
later i started suspicious whether he is genuine
i am not appointe yet now on trial period
and he asked me to wear the same dress i wore during the interview
i aske him what it is for and he just smiled
i dont wear it again yet
he is a family man
me too married i am quit econfused whether he is starting flirting or like that he asked me what abt the dress
i just dismissed the question

Well, a new boss anyways have no rights or no good reasons to comment or request on your dressings. Do not encourage such behaviour. You can mildly brush aside such requests or any personal moves with no replies or with any suitable reply u feel is not harsh[atleast for now].

He might have gained some rapport with you trying to help you with the job but that doesnt mean he has any good intentions when he asks you to wear a dress of his likes. Try emphasising in your behavioiur that you are a good employee but nothing more than that . If you still see him trying to intrude in to your personal space or go over board, well there are hell lot of secretary jobs on earth .

Your boss helping/instructing about your work is good but commenting on the dress you wear and asking you to wear a certain dress is crossing his limits.

How you handle this depends on you. You can tell him firmly that you do not like others commenting on your dress or you can ask him to limit conversations to work.

I also had the same situation like u! But i handle it in straight and short method.Got very Gud solution also.My opinion reg. this prblm, Mostly married jents only behave like this. they are all very dangerous fellows. But u must be keep distance from them and always should be alert. He is ur boss only. Dont allow him, for enter into ur personal. He have some limit. U must be bold..

No boss would ask anyone to treat him as his brother in office !!!

It is so cliched ,perhaps might urge his team to treat him as their colleague but not superior.Brother , it stinks fishy !

Do not entertain any of his personal requests.Draw the lines now itself.

first of all never believe on any boss in your new job. you should not believe on boss who says to you he treats with you as a brother. if boss gives any suggestion about the office work that is right. but personally interfere like dress matter and any personal matter it is very wrong.
these type of people are very selfish and dangerous. So i think u should not continue with this job.
