Arrow Need your suggestions

Hi All

I'm new to IL.I was so inspired after watching these forums and thought of sharing my problem with all of you so that i may get your valuable suggestions.I've been trying for a job since many days.after trying a lot I realised that its not easy here(singapore) to get a job.I have bachelors degree, even though i could not get a job beacause of my residential status in singapore.I'm a DP holder.I'm feeling so tensed. One of my friends suggested to get trained as a beautician in a gud institute and provide services from home.

But my problem is inspite of having a bachelors degree is it gud to do what my frnd suggested.I feel some what guilty to do that work.is it correct for me?What do you think about this idea? Please all of you give your valuable suggestions and any ideas that can help me to work at home.

If you 'feel guilty' as you say about doing that work then please don't go ahead with it. Even before starting it if you are uncomfortable thinking about the work then you sure will not have satisfaction in that job.
You might as well try to get trained in the field you like or do the courses required for the job you are looking for. You may even try doing higher studies.

hi rashmi,

There is no good job or bad job. At the end of the day, all it matters is we make money for our living. There is nothing wrong in being a beautician. It is a decent job. If you are not very desperate in finding a job, then you can wait few more months until the economy is better then start trying jobs in your field. If you want to do something right now, go for beautician.. Dont feel guilty, it is better to have a job rather than staying idle..
