Which one to choose CTS or HCL

Dear Friends,

I recently got offer from CTS & HCL. I just wanted to know which one to choose, paywise both are same. waiting for your feedback.

Though CTS is the best choice..this is not a question to be answered with an Inky Pinky Ponky..please share here the details such as your experience,current salaray(range not exact),designation,eduactional background,Locality of your current company,Simialr details offered for the new job by the 2 comapnies you had mentioned

I second both Brinda and Cindhuja's views... CTS is any day better than HCL regarding Employee benefits... But like Cindhuja mentioned you can't compare without specific infomartion.. You also need to look at the vertical or Horitizontal you belong to and the way either of these 2 companies are possitioned in that area...Also make sure that you get to know the monthly components from your annual benefits of your CTC (Cost to the Company). Let us know what you decide.

As others said, you cannot compare to 100%.

But still you can consider with some important factors..

1. Designation
2. Salary ( CTC)
3. No Variable component - So that ur take home will not get reduced
4. Location - Near to staying place
5. HR Policies - like free transport, Reimbursements......
6. Project Domain - Finance / Insurance / .........
7. Technology
8. Stream - Development / Testing / System Administration / Database Adminstration

Take a paper and write the various factors and compare...

My two cents...

Do a good study of both the companies through the net regarding the project,salary,platform,distance and et al

Take a piece of paper and write the pros and cons of both the companies that pops in your mind..

Then you will be able to determine your decision.

Listen to your mind..If you take the decision you can survive anyhow..

One more important thing ...
Compare the designation from both the company.. eventhough u get the same CTC, designation matters..
Say in CTS u get a "Associate" / "PA" and in HCL u get a "Software engineer" ...

As Lalitha said depends upon the vertical/horizontal also it varies..

What are your priorities? Is it designation/salary/growth/technology(in that order) or is it technology/growth and then everything else? Take a piece of paper, write down the pluses and minuses for both(in terms of your priorities) and then decide. This is exactly what I am doing in my head right now - unfortunately in my case the two competitors are losing out badly :(
I have a good friend in CTS and she is happy there. she even had the flexibility to move from a domain expert role to a pre-sales business development role because she wanted to try it out. I have another one at HCL too and she is quite happy there so it all depends on what you want.
