| Dear Getting early in the morning eases out tension though its a disgusting thing to miss that early morning sleep.. I did not have MIL ever since I got married (since she passed long back) and I understood I have to manage my chores to the best and conduct all the functions with proper neivedhya. Since we belong to core brahmin clan, my FIL and hubby wants me to do puja in the most ritualistic way. I also liked to follow the same way. On ordinary days, I plan what to cook the previous day, cut veggies if it is time demanding, I get by 5 am, draw kolam, have coffee, take bath, (5.45) light lamp, decorate puja place with flowers, then start off cooker by 6. I prepare curry, sambar , rasam, and snack for my 3 year old for school. My cooking will be over by 7.30 and thereafter I get sumptuous time to sit with other work. I then relax happily with IndusLadies after.. On puja days, I get by 4 am. I prepare the dough needed for neivedhya etc the previous day and only the cooking part I do before the puja. Now I have earned good name in my inlaws for myself managing varalakshmi puja, sumangali prarthanai, gokulashtami, ganesh chaturti, navratri, kartigai, thiruvadhirai etc. I know I have to toil but I love to toil since I have great passion for cooking.. Guess my way of life would have helped you managing chores..I shall be happy if it would.. luv Lakshmi |

| Hi friend, I agree with lakshmi that waking up early in the morning helps us a lot. especially a working women. I know it's very easy to say..... but difficult to follow. Practice makes things perfect & easy. I use to struggle a lot to wake up early........... but kept practising and Iam fine now. After certain period...... say 1 to 2 weeks time, if you follow the same wake up time everyday............... your body clock will automatically wake you up on the same time. I wake up at 05:00am, will have to catch up with morning pooja, preparing breakfast, lunch, packing, kids (To wake up, bath, pooja, school), my legs are literally tied up with the wheels. I run all over to finish up everything. But as soon as I reach office after finishing up everything........ I feel satisfied and nice. What to do.... we have to drag ourselves.......... coz we are the one who decided to work...... and hence need to balance. All the best and congratulations for your new job. Everything is in our mind, what we are is what we do. |

| Hi Lakshi, I really admire your daily chore. I too truly enjoy the morning kolam, filter cofee, nice fresh bath in the morning, pooja....... the flowers and agarpatti incense, bakthi, I feel like heaven. I somehow feel close to god. Even my In-laws appreciates me for this. Thanks for sharing this with us ![]() Quote:

I think we both sail on the same boat.. I do like seeing the divinity of the Lord amidst dasangam fog and I feel heaven. I too love to adorn Lord with flowers in different colors.. Thanks friend you made me my day.. Lets enjoy divinity.. What slokas do you recite.. I feel good having your encouragement.. thanx a lot I am reminded of Kolangal Aabhi.. luv Lakshmi |

| You are most welcome dear, It's my pleasure. Thinking & sharing about god is very specail. I do simple pooja in the morning, with few small ganesh, lakshi, vilakku slokams........ as I run out of time. Will play vishu sahasranamam & sasthi kavasham in the CD player. That itself is enough for me. Quote:
