Default How to succeed in personality tests?

I'm doing a lot of job interviews these days. I'm applying for software development posts. I've recently earned my B.Sc. in CS, and this is my first serious job hunt ever. What sorts of questions are asked in a Personality Test? I'd appreciate any tips that can help me pass such a test successfully.

Dear Kristi,

There is lot of online material/help available to succeed in personality tests. But reading the material will not be sufficient. You should implement the suggestions given to succeed.

For example, if a suggestion: "be confident in your approach" is given, you have to practice your body language, how you sit, talk, with a family member or in front of a mirror.

Few cents from my side..

Dear Kristi,

I really appreciate for your effort to improve and be prepared for interviews much in advance. I have been in the HR field for over a decade now and at some point of time I have given personality tests myself and taken such tests for candidates as well.

So Kristi, this is my peice of advice, rather a suggestion. Just be true to yourself and answer the questions sincerely. Reason for saying this is, usually, such tests are conducted to find out whether your own personality type matches with the work profile the employer is having in mind for you. If you manipulate the answers quite a lot of time, the result may show exactly opposite ( like showing an introvert person as an extrovert personality). Please remember that no personality type is in effect bad. It just needs to be matched with the right kind of job, and other associated factors, thats all.

So, as I said, just be truthful while answering. You may get disqualified for the job. But it is anyways better than doing a job that never suits you type of interests. I assure you, such jobs doesn't last longer.

You don't have to wait longer until you find your right job- this world is full of opportunities (if you look through the right pair of glasses)

All the best Kristi!
