Skills required for QA

Hi all,

Could anybody guide me the basic skills required to start a career in s/w testing .I dont have IT background
Any help of this topic highly appericiated

I am into QA as well though not into Testing.

If you need to know structured content of QA for testing..

Pls refer the site softwarecertifications.com redirect to softwarecertifications.org and refer the course content for CSTE (certified software test engineer). Note that I am not asking you to take up the test but simply asking you to check the testing related domains. If you could the softcopy of the material,I presume you would made a start in the right direction.

Also there are lot of websites on google which may aid you. e,g R.S. Pressman & Associates, Inc. ( I hope I got the url right or you can type Roger Pressman in goodle and get the correct site address.)

Hey Smith :)

First of all congrats on making a decision of choosing testing as your career... must say its a lucrative job nowadays
coming to acquiring skills in testing, I would recommend you to take up a training in one of the premier institutes. Do check out the nearby institutes which have a brand name and is recognised by the companies. They add value to your resume!
Apart from that of course there is google and the other links are also provided by our Il friends :) do check them out...
