Hi,
April 1 ,2008 is the first day to apply for H1B now.
Decide which consultant you want to apply with , by jan-1.
In January you can talk with the consultant and provide all paperworks they need.
(The latest you can give your papers to the consultant is by march-1,because they need atleast a month to do all the background checking)
Feb and March they will prepare your H1 application and post it , as it reaches govt on april-1.

hope this helps

karthika.

Default Apply for EAD - Efiling - Suggestions Please !!!

Hi ILites,
I have moved to US recently. I have L2 Visa. I have 8 yrs of exp in India and would want to work in US for which I need to apply for EAD. Gone thru couple of sites like USCIS.. Just want to check if anyone has applied for EAD online (Efile) recenly. Would recommend some valuable suggestions from those guys.... Do we need to send any docs by post to USCIS after Efiling EAD.
Cheers,
Apharna

Smile Re: Apply for EAD - Efiling - Suggestions Please !!!

Hi,

If you file the EAD (I 765) online, then you are not required to send any paper documents.
Next step will be the biometric will be done that is for fingerprints and photograph session will be called for in the nearest uscis centres.you will receive a mail regarding this.
Once biometric is done, your case will be pending and your EAD card will be mailed to your address within 90 days.if you do not get within 90 days you can contcat nearest uscis office and get a interim EAD to work temp. till you get perm. EAD.

Hope this clears...Thanks.
