| Congratulations, Dear Janani and Ananthakrishnan! Accept my hearty congratulations, Janani. When the groom recites the popular vivaha mantra he says in the final line "sanjeeva sharadam sadham" May we live in love and harmony like this for a 100 autumns. It has a very poignant meaning, Janani. It does not say a 100 springs, it says a 100 autumns. Which means whatever may be the weather outside (I mean the climate in your lives too) the weather within us will be an eternal spring and will be of everlasting happiness. And nothing outside us can mar our happiness and harmony. And when he addresses his bride he says "shubage". I have searched for an equivalent in all the languages of the world. There is nothing that can even hope to come near this beautiful sanskrit word. It means that the bride is one who will bring all goodness and sweetness. (one who brings shubam always.) And Janani you are truly a "shubage" to Mr. Ananthakrishnan. May you live long in eternal love, abiding peace, undisturbable harmony and everlasting happiness And may your transition from Miss.Janani Gopalakrishnan to Mrs. Janani Ananthakrishnan be smooth, sweet and seamless. | Hearty Congrats.. HEARTY CONGRATULATIONS JANANI...WISH YOU BOTH A WONDERFUL LIFE TOGETHER.. I want to thank Varalotti for his beautiful post while wishing you. I feel good to know the meaning of " Sanjeeva Sharadaam Shatam" - always wondered about the " Sharadaam" part of it...but I thought " Sharada Raathris" ( nights of Sharad Ritu) with beautiful moonlight is what the blessing carries..Thanks Varalotti for giving the meaning which is more apt for loving companionship. And about " Shubhage"...Shubham is 'auspiciousness" and so it means the one who has the attribute of auspiciousness...a very very perfect word for a bride who fills the life of her spouse with auspiciousness and happiness..
