Actor Raghuvaran passes away

Truly,very hard to believe that Raghuvaran is dead.A very decent actor and a charismatic personality.May his soul rest in peace.

How sad! I liked his intense and unique acting style. He narrowly missed the National Award for the Malayalam movie, 'Daivathinte Vikrithikal' (the film did not have Hindi sub titles). He was 60?? Looked young for that. May his soul rest in peace.

I just wish that people dont fall into these alcoholic addictions and spoil their life. Hope many learn from his life.

My phone beeped when I was engrossed in tasting my mom's preparation. Though at college and was randomly flipping the pages of a photo copy material that we were handed over with yesterday, for todays test !! Very heavy afternoon and I felt the depth of my heaviness only when I ended up going through the shocking news from my brother at Selam. Quickly I turned to my friend Meena and asked her whether she was informed about the same? I found no one to join me in knowing the saddest news of the Tamil Industry (Kollywood) then (say about 13.30 IST in the afternoon).

When he has been a role model for many as an excel (A class) artist, I think, he failed to lead his own life with propelled and intensified senses.

I pray to the Almighty to give his dear ones, strength, to withstand such a loss. May his soul rest in peace.

I should say that I was, first, really shocked to read this news today, first in the rediff site. But, after having read about his addiction to drugs and alcohol, realised that these vices "have played their roles" very aptly on this versatile actor (or i should say 'villain')

I enjoyed watching his films like Anjali, Samsaram adhu minsaram, Annamalai etc... May his soul rest in peace...

Sorry, couldn't visit this thread as I was caught in "Appraisal" fever.

I just wanted t o quote one thing here. My SIL after hearing Raghuvaran's demise said, " he might be a paava janma but is a nalla atma(a bad,sinful birth but good soul), which is why despite so many vices,he reached lotus feet without much suffering in death bed.Whereas, many with such habits die with pain, due to cancer, or some other deadly disease". I beleive she is true. Only punya atmas get a sudden death, without much suffering in death bed.
