I am visiting Trivandrum on 2nd March 2008 to address a meeting being conducted by Thiruvananthapuram Tamil Sangam. T

The venue is the Sangam's BRS Auditorium, Trivandrum. The meeting starts at 9:30 AM and will be over by 1 AM.

Many renowned Tamil writers will be addressing us.

Dear Usha,

You really overwhelmed me by starting this thread. And I should confess that it is a morale booster for me.

With my session being presided over by a person no less than a Sahithya Academy Award winner, Neela Padmanabhan, I was wondering what can I speak at the meeting.

The organisers, one MK Nathan, the secretary of the Sangam, is a very kind man. He has read my short story collections and has found out what is the dominant theme in most of my work. And has chosen the title of my speech accordingly. My subject is "சிறுகதைகளில் மனித நேயம்"

I called my editor working for my publisher and asked his suggestion as to how to form my speech. He asked me to just pick up a dozen of my short stories and explain them to the audience.

We are waiting to read your write-up on this event. Please add a few pictures, so we can our own Sridhar sharing the dias with other popular writers.

Enjoying this kind of affection from people like you has been the highlight of my career. Thanks, thanks and thanks. I wanted to write the word a million times, but could not do that for want of space.
