| | Another Feather In Our Pankaja's Cap! Let's Clap! Most Gracious ILites,
I learn from Ms.Sudha (rvnachar) that the veteran writer in our forum, Nugehalli Pankaja, has been coferred the ANUPAMA AWARD for her contribution to Kannada Literature.
This award has been instituted in the name of the late writer Anupama Niranjan.
One of our seniormost ILites and a seasoned writer, Nughehalli Pankaja, winning that award is a matter of pride for us.
Pankaja, accept our hearty congratulations. May you be blessed with long life, health and prosperity. May many more Award Committees honour themselves by giving awards to you.
There is something special about the name of the award, Anupama. In Sanskrit Anupam means one who is without an equal. (upam is equal and its negation is anupam) Anupama refers to the lady who is without an equal.
In that sense, Dear Pankaja, you are really an ANUPAMA.
May you be blessed.

Dear all,
I simply am overwhelmed by your joy at my
receiving the Anpamaaward, and very much touched by your affection. Afterall, I am a new comer, and not very active due to other pressures, yet you have taken me into your fold with so much of unparalled pleasure. I can only
say'God bless you all'
Yes, it is a prestigious award, as the name itself denotes, and has put an end to all my frustrations. It must be God's grace.
Sridhar, catch you for circulating the news! You really like making other writers famous! Thank you..

Dear Pankaja m'am,
Congratulations on your prestigious award.
I have read in IL about all your achievements in the Kannada literary field. I have also been following your posts of kind words and encouragement to various members of IL on various occasions. Thanks to Ambika, enjoyed seeing your photos (writer's meet, B'lore). Besides, you belong to our common fraternity, IL! What more reasons need there be for feeling familiar about you? Even if all the above did not exist, it is a sheer pleasure to appreciate someone's talent and sincere work and revel in their success!
Wish you many more laurels and recognition.
Regards,
Kamla
