hi ladies, would like to know the receipe for lijjat papad what ingridients they use to make such a tasty papad (urad papad) i jst love lijjat papad. ladies please share the receipe if anyone knows please........:idea
Rice - 1 kg Salt to taste Ground chillies- according to spice Method Wash the rice thoroughly and soak the rice in water for 2 -3 hrs. Dry the rice in the sun spreading it uniformly. In a heavy pan roast the dried rice without any oil. Grind the above into a fine flour Add the chillies ,salt & aforesaid to the flour. Add hot water and beat the mixture in a stone a mortar to make a hard dough Roll the dough into round balls Flatten these balls into round thin plates like a roti using rolling pin Spread these plates on a clean white muslin cloth (preferable dhoti) and allow them to dry for a day or two till they completely dry Store them in dry, airtight container. You can either fry them in oil or grill them & serve.
Hi, According to me, this is not a recipe for lijjat papad becoz they are made from urad dal...the above recipe is for rice flour papad called papdi
