Which tiles are better for bathrooms?

Hi everybody,

I am going to renovate my bathroom; I wanna know which tiles are better for bathrooms? Is it the ceramic or the vitrified tiles? Is there much difference between these two types? Which one should I go for?
If any of you have any idea please lemme know…

hi Dipti

i have a feeling that for a bathroom one should always opt for anti-squid tiles.Both ceramic and vitrafied tiles are slippery.

floor walls should be anti-squid with matching colour of side ceramic tiles.

Hi Dipti,

You can use Ceramic tiles, these are fine for bathrooms. The vitrified tiles are for outdoor use where freezing is a problem. These vitrified tiles are made to withstand low temperatures. You can go ceramic tiles.

Hello Dipti,

For bathroom tiles I guess both will work just fine. In fact a porcelain will also work well. Color, shade and proper slip resistance are the most important in a bathroom so I would suggest you to go for the one your like and alos get a good installer and make sure that you are doing it right.

thank you everyone for providing the suggestions. but to tell you a truth, i am brightly confused which one to go for, because each one of you have voted for different sort of tiles. eh!!!! it will very tough for me to settle with one now. anyways, i think i will have to wait for more posts before i come to a conclusion.

Hello Dipti,

I will go with Bharathy, she is absolutely right. Anti-squid tiles are the best for the bathrooms. However, the best thing will be to ask your local tiles dealer. He will guide you in a much better way. But I would ask you not to go for ceramic or vitrified tiles.
