i beleive in always playing a role in money matters... to be frank i dont know much about stock... but my inlaws used to invest not so much may be to some extent....

with my enthusiasm in the stocks thread, it is not any secret that i invest. but i am a investor and not a trader.
Though am not so keen (basically dont have time to read about company's performances and current market moves), my DH's hobby is to watch market. We are investors at the moment.

Nice to see something related to reality and current trend in the poll...i and my family never invested in the stock market...just heard about it brings lots of money at times and takes away also in the same fashion....
We had invested in stocks couple of years back and had lost some money.But for the past two years we have not and are playing it safe.I felt very sorry when I saw many people in Gurgeon had sold off all their lands and had invested in stocks and had lost everything.God help them.

I do invest in stocks regularly. I got this habit from my dad. From childhood we kids are taught to see money in the form of shares by my dad. So I invest through MF SIPs and directly in stocks. But regularly booking the profits. Of late, I prefer to keep in cash as the SENSEX is going downward only.Drowning, hope I will not drown.
