My Visit to the Beautician!

You all must have enjoyed my post Lost Identity.

I just wanted to hop a bit more holding this poll.


We visit the beautician at least once or more than once on an average. It is important to look presentable and I am sure most of us do visit the parlour at least for threading and waxing.

I have listed only the average basic treatments so that all members can actively participate.

Another good one , i used to regularly visit parlours back there in india and always loved to be presentable. But after comming to US i m hesitant to visit Parlours... first for the reason i am yet to come to terms with these Dollar prices( i m still in the mode of converting dollars into indian RS.). Second i am not yet that confident abt there services, since i have seen so many americans with those very thin lines of eyebrows which scares me

Exactly my sentiments Vaidehi! But luckily I did find couple of Indian beauticians, so though the price I pay is still in $, atleast my eyebrows are intact!! Do check out ur local postings in Craigs, or even the local Indian Grocers, u might find some Indian doing threading etc. from home!

Like ANk said there are beauty parlors inside some Indian grocery stores. I have also used Body Wrap Spa for facials occasionally and like them. Their prices are reasonable. You might want to check if there is one in your area.

I regularly visit parlour for all treatments like Eyebrow trimming, Belaching, facial, manicure and pedicure, hair cut, hair colouring.........atleast once in a month........and very rarely for Steam bath........

Hair coloring as far as i know does not keep your hair healthy. Your hair tends to turn grey very soon. Better to apply henna. Henna would keep your head and a good treatment for dandruff too.
