Hope you all had a wonderful Valentine's day celebration. This week poll topic is to retain the charm of the cupid and for you to choose your favorite day for celebration.

Do these days gives you memory close to your heart or are they just marketing tricks to boost the sale of cards, roses, bands etc?

Whether it is marketing gimmick do you feel you are special when your loved ones shower you with gifts on any of these special days. If so, then take up this week's poll topic and let us know your comments.

I am of the opinion that one day is not enough for a relationship to develop. What is the use of celebrating any of these days in a year and all the other days fighting or ignoring the relationships?
One should have genuine love, respect, concern for one's dear ones, whoever they may be, always. That is the bst way to celebrate the realtions we have.
All these days are imported in recent years due to our exposure to the other parts of the world. We Indians have a different mind set when compared to the people of the West. The culture difference makes it meaning less in a way.
But still, I gifted small items to my husband and son- I believe that a Valentine is someone whom you love like husband/wife/daughter/son/mother/father/friend etc.

For me, i would celebrate mother's day throughout my life.She's my life support system. Also its been the longest relationship in my life , ( from the womb itself )

NONE is my option.

I agree with Varloo in a way. Not a single day of celeberation makes life happy.

Mother's day, I respect her and love her always and take care of her in her old age. Beyond this, she doesn't need any special gifts from me.

Father's day - My father died when I was a year old, I always longed to have a great loving father in law, but what I got in life is a greedy pig, selfish, criticising old man for a father in law.. so no fun celeberating it.

Valentine's day - yes.. I am always a valentine for my dear hubby..thats waht he says and hence I don't expect anything more in the form of gifts from him and he feels the same way.

Friendship day - My dearest friends are in India and since I live in the US, whenever I visit India, I always make an effort to meet my friends and spend a day eating out and shopping to catch up with all fun thats missing here. So no specific day but whenever its possible.

So.. thats about my humble opinion,

I dont want to vote. Because all the above 4 are important days to me + we also celeberate our wedding day and also our ( my, my hushabd's and my son's) birthdays.

I always enjoy all Indian Traditional festival like Diwali, Navarathri etc which also has the aspects of socializing etc…….not yet used to the western ways of celebration…..

I wish to vote for NONE category, as all the days are important to remember our parents, friends, husband and no need to allocate a special day for each....

are special to follow. If there would be any choice (all the above or none) I
