Reading your words I feel like having won the Gnanpeet Award. I have also heard the story narrated by your grandmother. It's in Saint Ramakrishna's fables. Ramakrishna Paramhamsa adds another twist to the story. When the singer is annoyed with God that he had not been rewarded properly, God explains to him with a smile.
"You served me with your body.See what kind of honours your body is getting there in the earth. They have decorated with all the flowers available and they are going to take it in a procession and cremate it with military honours. Your body served me and has got the reward on earth. Here above we reward the mind and the motive. So you are going to hell. That lady did not serve me with her body. See her body is being dragged by dogs and devoured by insects. There is nobody available even to do the funeral. So that's the punishment for her body. But her mind was serving me and and hence she is in heaven now."

I told my wie about yr blogs, and since it was late yest and I closed and went down to my home, she is after me to let her read yr blogs.and she is going to love them, yr teachings and writings are of her taste.She is very religious, follows a living guru, and u can imagine what she goes thru m,arried to me with all the available vices.HAHA
