Default fabulous....

Dear Sridhar

Reading your post I remembered few lines by a contempoaray poet who said

" I will give you a new poem
The poem will give you a new life
That will give you a new journey"..

How a love poem so beautifully composed on the moon gave a new life, a new journey to two souls which were meant to be united despite the designs of men...
A wonderful love scene, so sublime and ecstatic..
Thanks for posting it Sridhar...and about your translation, ah..words fail me now to express my joy at your felicity. A Translator can kill the original, or make it immortal....you are proving time and again that you are a fabulous translator....keep it up ..
Thanks and regards
ambika

Default Thanks Ambika For Giving a Sense of Completion to this post!

Dear Ambika,
It was thrilling to see the comments of a poetess on the poem I posted. I am very very happy that you liked the poem and my translation.
You have very beautifully summed up the effect of a poem. And as you know Ambika, when I was about to fall ill last week and the body pain was crushing me to my bones, there again a poem came as a relief. It was kind of you to have read and corrected my poem.
This is the best forum to express my thanks for that.
After making a couple of translations I feel that the power of the original poetry determines the quality of translation.
Thanks Ambika once again for everything.
regards,
sridhar

Default Lets Relax Ladies With New Year Celebrations!

Most Gracious ILItes,

Let us relax this Wednesday with my account of a memorable new celebration I had some 8 years back.

Again this Saturday, we will be taking up a heavy topic for discussion.

Regards,
