| Dear Varalotti, Happy to see you back... I can understand your feelings... I am happy that you got solace at HER feet... I am more happy that prayed for more love... It needs a real big heart, in this fast materialistic cut throat world... ![]() ![]() As the family grows, somebody or the other will keep finding faults are shouting at others... We should not get cowed down by that... I know, I neither have the age or experience to advice the great VR... But what I want to convey is... you are allowing them to succeed in their mission.... by you getting hurt... I am happy to note that SHE has helped you a lot... With regards to the poem... That is absolutely a fantastic one... The para Iranyan is more loved... great... May SHE give you more love... so that you can share it with us... Veda

| Dear Sridhar Sir, Have been looking in this thread for more love stories every day and really missed you these days. I pray to Her (with all selfish motives) that a creator like you should never get hurt and if at all you do under her practical pranks on Her children, I hope you bounce back sooner than later. I beg to differ, though I know your poem is your domain and hence your right ! May be I am not as matured as you are, but this is what I think.. It was a disturbing for me to see the analogy. Iranyan was obviously not more loved. He made the ocean of love, karunaa moorthy, my dear Lord, take simha roopam and rip off his body and presented the lord in the most daring avatar of all Avatars.. He was possibly more noticed by the Lord but obviously not loved. The destiny here is to be touched by Lord, but how we reach the destiny is what actually matters. If I reach the destiny by annoying Lord to all ends, provoking the saviour to become a killer, having tricky boons to back myself up to attain eternity, well the destiny loses its value. I somehow feel that the path is more important than the destination, for an ill-path towards a right-destination makes it an ill-destination. May be it is going to take me more wisdom to actually feel for these words that no life is worthier than such a death. But as I stand today, I am unable to agree to it.. Affly, Gayu |

| Dear Varalotti, It is a great joy to see your posts in IL! A certain hustle and bustle was missing and it was very palpable, believe you me! And you come back with not one, but two soulful posts. I just returned from my Gita class and my teacher there said that sadness makes you sharper, gives you a better perspective of life. I shook my head silently, I don't know about that, it is hard to be sad, nicer to be happy. Simple! Only things are never honky dory all the time...Let the bygones be bygones. It is time to take up where you left. And we all are eyes now awaiting your next post. The poem was beautiful, but, I want more cheer now?:) Shanvy's reply to you was an absolute gem. I don't think I can better that. Just would like to quote her words here once again: I only remember Mahatma's words "Nobody can hurt me without my permission." . So may be somewhere, we have given them the permission to hurt by writing here. How true! Thank you dear Shanvy for that quote. L, Kamla |

| dear sridhar sir, glad to see that you are back after your brief sabbatical... after all the warm, lovely replies here, i hardly have anything else left to say... i just hope, that with the level of maturity and understanding that you have, that you do not let such things hurt you.... i guess we just have to take it as just one more event in the complex scheme of His, the reasons for which, may, someday, dawn on us... i am sure He will grant you your prayer and shower you with His love...love and knowledge are the only thing which grow when shared, and i hope you receive many times the generous amounts of these which you share with us here... as Kamla and Indhu maam have said, looking forward to more cheer in your coming posts... :) |

| Dear Janani, Yes I am back after a break (of heart?, I don't know). Peaceful death is a blessing which is conferred but on very few. In Mahabaratha we hear of Bheeshmar having the boon of icha mrthyu. That is he can choose his moment of death. That's why he waits for the birth of Uttarayanam and in that period is lying in a bed of arrows. But to die at the hands of God, well, that should be a great blessing, whether or not one is aware of that. What happened to Soorapadman? Though he was killed he is with Lord Muruga for all time to come. Thanks for the fb. And thanks for the boni, Janani. regards, Quote:

| Dear Lalitha, Thanks for the nice words of welcome and which makes me feel quite at home. I am happy to see that you like the poem. In fact the poem was inspired by you. The first few lines of the poem appeared in my reply to you, which I later made into a bigger poem. Whatever there is and there would be and there was, all are Her blessings. Quote:

| Dear Brindha, Feedback like what you have given is sure to boost my ego. And in this context it is a soothing balm. Quote:
Maturity gained has to be directly proportional to the experiences gained. Otherwise the experience gained has no practical value. Once I worked for an old company where there were many oldtimers doing the same work, day in and day out. When one of them was interviewed by an outside consultant for a promotion, the employee boasted "I have 15 years of experience." The consultant went over whatever work he did during those 15 years and told him, "No sir, you're wrong. You don't have 15 years of experience. You have 1 year of experience repeated 15 times." Quote:

| Dear Devika, More than you and others in IL missed me, I missed you all. I missed writing a new post once a week, at times even twice a week, and even more than that I missed reading your fb and responding to them. At no point of time can we be even a millimetre away from Her feet. But we do not realise it all the time. In times like this, when our egoes are hit and our pride hurt, we become acutely aware of Her presence and then we get the required relief. Quote:

| Dear Shanthi, Thanks a lot for the welcome note. You have not written like a fellow ILite, not even like a friend, but like a mother who advises her son when he complains of the class-bully. Every word you have written here is so very important. No wonder Kamla quoted them in her reply. I even had an urge to nominate this reply for the FP; but had to restrain myself, because your advice is at a personal level and it concerns a bitter incident of the past. I do not want to draw attention to that. Quote:

When it comes to the poem I followed the path of Azhwars and Nayanmars who always think of themselves as women and God alone as man. Once a great saint had come to the town where the Lady Saint Meera Bai was living. Meera went to see the saint. The saint sent word to her that he cannot receive a woman in his camp. Whereupon Meera laughed aloud and told the messenger, "In Lord Krishna's presence, can there by any other man?" Meaning that he is the only man of whom all of us are the lovers. And Nammazhwar concludes emphatically. Aanallan Pennallan alla aliyum allan Neither is God a man, nor a woman, or an eununch... Thanks once again Shanthi for the wonderful fb which was like Soframycin to my wound. love, |
