| Dear Sridhar , My heart experienced a peculiar feeling - heaviness & fullness combined together after reading ur post ! Wow … great Sridhar ! Through PaaNaa ‘s story we realise that the Almighty expects nothing but our total surrender at his feet to merge with Him ! Its great that Paana’s flawless & immense love for Him & His love for Paana ( especially ) changed even the foolish saint who stuck to wrong sentiments . “ Inaththaal alla manaththaalmattum vaazhbavan manidhan “ allavaa ? Love , Indhu .

| Dear Sridhar I have to say this to you. I narrated this story to my son Vishal who is just 4 yrs. Was very hard for me, may be i attempted it too early. He was very comfortable when i narrated Ramayanam to him because it did'nt matter much because Rama was always good and Ravana was bad and it was easy. He is very good with Sanskrit for some reason..Not sure may be my Thatha who was a deekshadhar passed away in 2004 and vishal was born the same year and i always think may be he is my thatha's rebirth. He has been learning Bhagavat Gita in Bala vihar and has won several prizes for being the youngest chanter in Illinois. Wellhe knows just 2 chapters by heart but it is very tough for me and his teacher to get him understand the difference between Good and the Bad. Ok saturday night when i was reading this story to him, he had too many questions..Why Paana cannot go to the temple?? why Ammachi does'nt allow him in the temple..Is loga sarangar a bad thatha..ohh god..the questions went on and on and at one point i had to make my own SIRU Kadhai out of it..An easier version for Vishal.. I am sure one day he will understand the gist. Living here in the US, kids are too fascinated by the things around them. Electonics, movies and video games comes to them naturally from the environment and i feel it is truly important to emphasize the importance of Prayer and devotion in them. I am trying my best to keep my son in the fold. There are several people here in my city doing this service to our Indian kids. You are doing a great job too Sridhar by your wonderful writing. Wanted to write this in my last feedback itself, but did'nt want it to go too long. Regards Vidya |

| Dear Indhu, Very rarely does a husband get an opportunity to give such feelings of heaviness fullness to his wife. Thank God, I chose writing as my pastime. Otherwise I would have never been able to give such things to you. For us God is always a rich Uncle who comes from abroad. We want wealth, health, happiness, good life, a better car, no traffic jams on the way, and engineering seats for our children. God is ready to give these things and much more. He does not even expect us to Love Him. But if we show our genuine love to him, He'd be so pleased and would even dance in happiness. Indhu, it is easy to accuse the Rishi, Loga Saranga Munivar. In that moment of weakness he did act foolishly by mindlessly conforming to the social dogma. As we are doing in a lot of other instances, as is evident from my words quoted by you. They say in Christianity that God is more pleased with a sinner who has reformed than a pure saint who has not erred at all. You see God gave Loga Saranga Munivar the unique honour of carrying his devotee to the temple. The rare privilege of hearing Amalanaadhi piran paasurams as soon as they were composed by Thiruppaanazhwar and the rarer honour of witnessing the devotees union (I'd rather say re-union) with God. | Dear Vidya, That was a wonderful job you did. Now don't worry about his 'understanding'. Actually there are several dimensions to 'understanding'. A child's understanding is of a different dimension than that of an adult. Just answer all his questions honestly. And if you don't know the answer, please tell him so. Now you have implanted a box of treasure in your child's mind. His personality is irrevocably changed for the better. When he comes of age he'd know the significance of this story and the universality of human love. After all he is a Deekshathar's grandson. The genes would have inherited that qualities as well. Kindly teach your son Tamil as well, while nurturing his desire to learn sanskrit. As of now he might not know the meaning of Gita fully. But Gita getting into his memory is like having a treasure box but without the key. In time when he grows he'd know the meaning. And then he'd have the key for the treasure box. Reading this fb of yours made me very happy. I was slightly disturbed by what happened in IL during the last few days. And your post had a soothing effect on my nerves, Vidya. May you and yours be always blessed. love, Quote:

| Dearmost Sridhar Read your feedback and noted the contents. Yes you are doing a wonderful job writing individual feedbacks. As far as teaching Tamil, i am trying my best, my son speaks the regular day to day words but all the day in school and neighbours, he hardly gets the time to talk. But he is getting thru and will be in a good stead soon. Thanks for your response Sridhar. I really admire your patience in taking each one of us so special. All will be good for you. You are a good man Sridhar. I am learning a lot of things from you and i will stop here.. Regards Vidya Last edited by Vidya Arun; 17th June 2008 at 10:17 AM. |

| Dear Sridhar, I was away on vacation and just returned. I read both the parts pf paana's story and am still soaked up in that love. I do not have enough words to express how well you enabled me to visualize the story as if it was happening right now. thank you! |

| Dear Usha, In fact I was missing you in these threads and now I am relieved to know the reason. Paana's story is not to be just read once. It has to be chewed again and again until it becomes one with our being and that kind of love becomes our nature. And yes, thanks a ton for the nice words you have about my narration. love, sridhar Quote:
