Dear most Varalotti sir

Thank you very much for your kind words. When the sweetness and kindness in written words are felt by heart, we feel the favorable judgment adds its attributes to the existing creation. To be frank enough, am experiencing the above said lines and now I know how people feel, when they express that "they are in clouds nine" !!

Your definition of "winning" in life is apt and is the need of the hour. Materialistically any Tom, Dick and Harry ( literary reference) can win their cake of life. But when it comes to practically "winning" life (I would call it as an "eternal win"), we need to "live our life" taking into account the "real world" per se. We should let ourselves to be elastic enough to the circumstances around us. The expenditure of effort will reap its fruits when seeded in the right pot at the right time. The transition can be gained once we realize the "true happiness", the "true love", the "true affection" and the "true and pure relationship" that we extend to others.

so much sir for the encouragement that you instill(ed) in me !!

NB: Soon will drop into your "Serials" too. Am sorry for the ignorance that blocked my senses in leaving my feedback. But now I have gained the confidence and the much-needed support sir !!

Regards with Love

"Many a time, gracefully accepting a defeat will be a glorious winning strategy."

Dearest Varalotti sir,

The above said (or should I say, "etched") line of yours left me in deep thoughts. I gracefully agree with your view-point. Very true. Strategy is what we think and plan accordingly. A well set strategy will pave way for a reachable target. The viability of the strategy adopted will be well felt when the path is walked on with "courage and bravery". Regards with Love

Dear Ramya,

I am really overwhelmed by your long fb, by your kind words and above all by the endearment you use in addressing me. "Dearest Varalotti Sir"

I will be only too happy if you can drop the word "sir". I was running a HR consultancy till about two years ago. I used to take extraordinary pains to ensure that aspirants for ITES jobs do not use the word, Sir or Madam.

Since I am only 28 (and will turn 27 this April) you may call me Varalotti or Sridhar.

Loved your nice expressions.
Thanks once again.
regards,

Dear Aruna,

I have to thank you first for I had noted a few days back to reply to Ramya for her response but forgot all about it. (thanks to HE 17, the Contest and a thousand other factors) Your fb after a gap reminded me of that. Thanks.

Whether at home or office I am always up to something. My school-teachers used to say, "If sridhar is talking or doing something then nothing is wrong. But if he is silent then something is seriously wrong. He's up to something really big."

I won that game but lost the subsequent which made me to philosophize that at times accepting defeat might be the best winning strategy.

That's right. She knows better. Haven't you heard of the adage, paambin kaal paambariyum.

There's no need to be sorry, Ma'am. That's a great compliment paid to my abilities.
Stay tuned and look for more "bang, bang, bang.."
thanks, Aruna

Dear Sridhar,
Looking at the thread title I thought it was a gam eof words in which you are an ace. But after you giving me a link for this forum I had to post here. I always thought the you win some , you lose some, playing is important. No one can always win, nor does anyone always lose. It's the spirit in which you take it that matters . At work there are very tense situations but I have handled them all and though it does not get noticed always, my boss knows. There is no applause for all that you do, but that does not mean we give on whatever we do.
If our mothers and grandmothers looked for praise for all that they did and are doing we would never be what we are today.Silence is this contect can sepak louder than words.

Dear Sridar Sir,

A good narration indeed. Since it is related to team game i'm just wondering how will your stratergy impact our Indian Cricket team - or if it will have any kind of impact at all..

With 'elam' event going on, if feel the spirit of the sport is almost dead and that is because cricket has become another commercial business, and everyone who 'invested' are desparate for the team to win .

May be if the Indian Cricket team realises that the team spirit and the participation will help them win every game and not the financial benefit they get out of it!..

I 've ceased watching cricket as i don't consider it a 'sport' any more!

Dear Janani,

Words of wisdom! Well said!

In 2006 there was a ritual working competition in the Masonic movement to which I belong. I was the Master of my lodge. It was all a team work. In spite of being many odds against us, like two of my officers were sick and one could not even come for the event, one of the judges were absent. We did the ritual to the best of our abilities.

When we rose after the meeting, one of my officers asked, do we have a chance of getting a prize?

I told him we have already got it. How, he asked. I told him that in as much we have done our best, we have already won the competition. If the judges are wise enough they might acknowledge our victory. If not, it doesn't matter.
I was more happy on the day of the competition than on the day it was announced that I was adjudged the best master of the Southern Region.

When I opened the thread we had won the game. But soon after we lost a game too. And were not sad about it. Because we lost to far better players than ourselves.

Profound words, Janani.

Dear most Varalotti sir (can you give me a "felicitous" suffix that I can add, if "sir" is not preferable and dear )

Thank you once again for having shown deep interest in my words. It really adds on to the existing state of bounty. Your replies to my feedback are a delight and will be treasured !! (I read and re-read your replies just to finally settle with my mom telling that am still childish )

Great to know that you were a HR consultant. And extremely great on a lighter note that you will be turning "27" this April !!! A few years of difference would not make much change, I agree. But I should give utmost importance and respect for the "knowledge" and "wisdom" that you had gained through these years. So, has the Almighty "granted" and "gifted" me "another precious brother who is marked by thoroughness"... through this thread !!! (??)

"Ich warte auf Ihre Erklärung" (Meaning, eagerly waiting for your explanation )
