Sridhar,
This what happens in reality...

Look at those who volunteer as the baby- sitter...or say dog-sitter ( as in our case, our neighbour used to ask my daughters to look after their pet when they are on vacation...these girls will run after the dog, clean up his mess (if necessary), but they don't even take our dog for a walk, let alone other activities..citing, tired or home-work as the excuse)
House-work is always unpaid...
but doing the same in the outside world...you get paid...

Maybe that is the reason.

Moreover, when somebody constantly reminds us of the work we had to do, which we will be only person to do...we get irritated (include me in this)

Velilayem intha velai, veetilum idey vellai....yerichal than....

Dear Varalotti Sir,

No doubt, she is born for that only. Let us not see to "paid" or "unpaid", but let us underline her own words - Was I born for that?

Chumma Nacchunu irundadhu. Echil eduppadhu punyam. I have done, doing and will continue to do. Even in house functions, I volunteer for that.

Ha ha Sridhar, just like you to come up with something like this!

Of course can she say Go to hell to the passenger....she will be kicked out of her job na!. Air hostess is a highly paid servants job And Marumagal(dil) is a NILL paid ( in money, i mean!!) job! Also only at Home can one be oneself....isnt it? She or for that anyone cannot show their irritation at workplace na.....after all even the Menfolk after a long days work do show their irritation only at Home Sweet Home na?

All said and then good observation and comparison and nice one page story telling.....which only u can come up with!

Now i wonder why the Chennaiites edition did not have it.......any particular reason u think (did the editors think that working dils will not like it.....or something ha ha!)
I am waiting for some reactions from our esteemed chennaiites!

Dear Varalotti Sir,

Story is good and realistic. If she does not do it in flight she loses her job. At home she does not lose her status of daughter in law.

A very short and sweet story...

Did you want to punish her? You did it right.

If today is your birthday...
