| My Dear GFs, I am pleased to inform you that Deccan Herald of 1st May 2008 carries my middle Life and Honour. Here's the link: Deccan Herald - Life and honour Let me have your views. love, |

| Dear Sridhar, Loved the article Life and Honour. In both cases, it is the clearly the choice made by the two individuals. The actress, probably somewhat educated, may be sophisticated, chose the not so honorable path. May be in her view, that was the quick way to the pot of gold. The villager considered her honor as the dearest to her. She may or may not have thought of the consequences.

| Dear Sridhar, Congrats for your middle in DH. This incident I have read maybe written by you in an earlier thread which I do not remember. But a good comparison highlighting both the incidents. Maybe the actress after seeing the glitter of cinema (and where prositiution, adultery is also rampant) had an easy way out rather than fighting the adversities of life. But the Judge imposing her a minimum fine needs to be thought of.........

| Dear Sridhar, Here Iam back with a boni after a break. I respect the women who fell into the water lest she was put to shame. That shows the way she could think of valaintly ending her life. But the actresses not only this one many are put to shame everyday and they are unable to take a desicion given so many reasons.Money has its charm and can make you so greedy that it is so impotant to hit the rupee notes with a vengeance.

| Dear Usha, Both the actress and the village beau never thought of the consequences. For the actress, a life of easy pleasure, no work and quick money was so natural that she did not even hesitate to think what she was doing was morally right or wrong. Similarly the village lady could not even imagine of a life without honour. I remember an incident, Usha. I know a lady accountant who was working for one of my clients. She had an appendix problem and she did not let a male doctor operate on her. She waited for a woman doctor and was on very strong medicine for 3 months till they found out a woman surgeon in Madurai. People like her are also there. There are those who consider her weird. regards, Quote:

| dear aruna, thanks. Yes I also felt sad. Everybody has her own priorities. Morality cannot be forced from without. It has to come from within and should be more a matter of taste than one of imposition. thanks, aruna, for the fb. regards, |

| Dear Lalitha, thanks. You have a sharp memory. You are right. I had written about the village lady in my thread walk along the banks of river vaigai. In fact I had read about the actress only that morning and in the evening when I walked along the AV bridge I remembered of the other woman. And then this middle was born. Quote:
I can understand the punchline in your remark. thanks for the fb. love, Quote:

| Dear Janani, Most welcome. Or I should say, Welcome Back. And thanks for the boni after the break. Many times the actresses are forced to take a decision, though I should say, the first initiative or the first act or the tacit consent comes only from them. I know an actress who bought a huge property in Chennai. When the broker went to her for his usual 1% commission in cash, she offered to sleep with him in exchange for the money, which the broker accepted. I actually know another actress who refused to sleep with the AGM of a bank for getting a loan. I know this for sure because one of my professional colleagues was handling the assignment. The actress told him openly, "Auditor sir, if you want me, I'll sleep with you. But I'll never sleep with that blackguard just for getting the loan." I immortalised this incident in my book, "Nambikkai Tharum Thannambikkai" Thanks for the fb, Janani. regards, Quote:
