Kailash Fair is celebrated each year in <?xml:namespace prefix = st1 ns = "urn:schemas-microsoft-comffice:smarttags" /><st1:City w:st="on"><st1lace w:st="on">Agra</st1lace></st1:City> in the months of August and September with lot of enthusiasm. The whole city of <st1:City w:st="on"><st1lace w:st="on">Agra</st1lace></st1:City> bustles with a lot of activity and turns into a colorful carnival. The Kailash fair is celebrated in honor of Lord Shiva at a place called Kailash which is 12 kilometres from <st1:City w:st="on"><st1lace w:st="on">Agra</st1lace></st1:City>. It is believed that Lord Shiva himself came to this sacred place in the form of a stone lingam. The devotees of Lord Shiva visit Kailash and offer prayers to him. They believe that Lord Shiva is always there in the lingam and are listening to their prayers. The whole atmosphere at Kailash Fair is very cheerful with many shops selling toys, foods, sweets, and even ornaments. The fair is well attended and a visual treat. Have you ever visited the fair?
