Escape - The Music Festival

I have just returned from the 2 day music and arts festival being organized at the Lakeside Resort, Naukuchiatal, Uttarakhand. This festival entitled “Escape” is the latest in the series of music festivals sponsored by the Lakeside Resort management. Others include the Lakeside Jam and the Music in the Hills.
I met quite a few Delhi faces at the fest. Everyone seemed out to make the most of the long weekend extending upto Monday. The festival has been organised at one corner of the Naukuchiatal Lake. I listened to Dhruv Sangaria of Da Saaz, Vedanta (fusion music) and the Indi –Pop group Astitva on the first day.

I am a regular at the Lakeside festivals. I was there this time too... I enjoyed very much.

I was there too. I could only make it on the second day. There was good music too- there was Rock, Jazz as well as Reggae. I particularly liked the Jazz artists.
There was a lot more to do at the festival – there was a painting, photography, and digital arts exhibition. This was of particular interest to my dear husband who has photography as his pet hobby. Besides, one could do some shopping at the flea market or get a tattoo done.

I have never been to this festival!!
