Ganesh Chaturathi is celebrated all over the country in a special way to mark the birth of lord Ganesha. This festival is on one of the important festivals of India and is celebrated with great devotion.
Ganesh Puja in Rajasthan is celebrated with a great festive mood in the entire region.
In
Ranthambhore there one of the important temple of Lord Ganesha and the festival is celebrated in a grandeur way.

Ganesha, the elephant-headed son of Shiva and Parvati, is widely worshipped as the supreme god of wisdom, prosperity and good fortune.
People buy idols of Lord Ganesha and install them in their houses and worship the idol for one to ten days, after which the idols are taken out ceremoniously, through the streets of the town and immersed into the river, sea or well at the
11th day.
Outside India, it is celebrated by Newars in Nepal and Tamil Hindus in Sri Lanka.

Sawai Madhopur Ganesh Puja or
Chaturathi Rajasthan is one of the important festivals celebrated in the region. There is one important temple dedicated to Lord Ganesha in Sawai Madhopur. During these festivals people from all over the country visit Rajasthan to offer prayers in this temple.
