Lightbulb Polki, Kundan & Meenakari - Traditional Rajasthani Jewellery

Rajasthan is known for its royalty and also for it vibrancy in colors that is ushered in its culture, attires, food and even Jewellery. Rajasthani jewellery goes beyond the usual yellow gold jewellery and is designed and crafted in traditional Polki, Kundan & Meenakari.

Modern Indian jewellery has got a new form recently with the introduction of Kundan and Polki jewellery. Our films has also shown a lot of Rajasthani jewelleries worn by the characters, mostly in period dramas.

Which is your favorite Rajasthani jewellery - Kundan, Polki or Meenakari?

surely... i jsut dont like much of this yellow gold jewellery.... feels old fashioned

kundan is my favourite...... i think kundan n polki is the same.....infact in kundan jewellery there are two types of stones used which they differ as kanch ki polki n heere ki polki......

Question Re: Polki, Kundan & Meenakari - Traditional Rajasthani Jewellery

Wow! This is B-E-A-U-T-I-F-U-L

I think
Polki refers to uncut diamonds and Kundan refers to highly refined gold. Is that right? Would like to know more about this and where can we buy such jewellery?

Thanks in advance,
Hetal
