Bateshwar Fair The Bateshwar Fair of Agra is held at a distance of seventy kilometers from Agra, situated on the banks of river Yamuna. Bateshwar is a significant cultural and spiritual center. The place is named after the principal deity of the region, Bateshwar Mahadeo. The place has 108 temples dedicated to the gods and goddesses of the Hindu pantheon. During the months of October and November, a huge fair is organized from the day of Shashthi of Kartik month to the day of Panchami of Agrahayan month. Devotees gather in large numbers to worship Lord Shiva and take sacred dips in river Yamuna. |
