Default Brij Festival

The Brij Festival is celebrated in the month of March just before the festival of Holi. Brij is celebrated to commemorate Lord Krishna. Bharatpur of Rajasthan is the venue of this festival.

The major attraction of Brij is the Raslila Dance, which illustrates the eternal love story of Radha-Krishna. The villagers of Bharatpur dress in bright and colorful costumes and perform this dance. The sound of folk songs fills the air and entertains the people.

The entire area is painted in bright hues and everybody is splashed with colors. Everybody participates in this festival and celebrates its spirit irrespective of age and sex.

Default Re: Brij Festival

The Brij festival is marked by the enthusiasm and vigor of Holi, the festival of colors. During Brij, the villagers are full of zest and vitality. They dress in brightly hued clothes and perform songs and dances.

The principal attraction of this festival is the Raslila Dance, which portrays the immortal love story of Radha and Krishna.

During the festival, men and women irrespective of their age enjoy with boisterous folk melodies and splash colors on everybody. The joy and gaiety of the occasion is infectious and everybody who is there to witness the festival feels compelled to join the celebrations.
