Festival - Giaravahin Sharif Giaravahin Sharif is a festival that is celebrated to pay respect to the ancient Muslim saint of Baghdad. This festival is observed on the eleventh day of the Muslim month of Rabi-us-Sani. It is celebrated by offering prayers, flowers and sweets to the memory of Saint Jilani. It is specially celebrated by, the Sunni sect of Islam. Jilani was a direct descendant of Prophet Mohammed and has high reverence of Muslims for his sayings and teachings and for his spirituality.
