Default Festival - Urs Ajmer Sharif

Urs Ajmer Sharif is held in the sacred town of Ajmer in order to pay respect to the Sufi saint, Khwaja Moinuddin Chishti. Special prayers are offered at the mosque. Large amount of food is offered from the huge, steaming cauldrons that were gifted by Emperor Akbar.

Qawaalis are sung at night. The entire town is adorned with buntings. The festivities unite people of every faith and the town comes to life in the spirit of the celebrations.

Thousands of believers flock to the shrine and offer sincere prayers. Several programs are conducted to celebrate the festivals.

Have you ever seen Urs Ajmer Sharif being celebrated?
